Walking directions to the ICCThis page provides walking directions to the ICC from Birmingham New Street Station, and a selection of popular hotels in the area. Click on the links below to view walking directions from each location to the ICC:

Birmingham New Street StationTo reach the ICC, exit the station through the main exit and go up the escalator in front of you (next to Burger King). Turn left at the top of the escalator and follow the line of shops round for approximately 50 metres. Take a right turn and then move over to the left, alongside The Perfume Shop. Carry on walking until you see a ramp. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left. You are now in New Street. Continue walking up the hill, towards the clock tower that is situated at the top of the street. This is where New Street meets Victoria Square. You should now see signs to the International Convention Centre (ICC). You will see some steps with a fountain ahead. Go up the steps, towards the McDonald’s, and walk through the Paradise Circus arcade of shops. Exit the arcade out the other side, through the rotating glass doors, under the clock. Then, proceed across Centenary Square. The brick pathway will lead you to the entrance of the ICC. The Burlington HotelTo reach the ICC, come out of the hotel’s main entrance onto New Street. Turn left and walk to the end of New Street to meet Victoria Square and the Town Hall. You will see steps with a fountain ahead. Go up the steps and into the Paradise Circus arcade of shops. Walk right through the arcade and out the other side into Centenary Square. Ahead you will see a glass building, which is the ICC. The City Inn HotelTo reach the ICC, come out of the hotel and on the right-hand side you will see a yellow BT building and a square with fountains and trees. Go to the bottom of the square, where there is a red brick building. Keep on the right-hand side of that building (there is a Café Rouge on the corner) and you will see the canal. Cross the bridge over the canal and the ICC is the building directly in front of you. The Copthorne HotelTo reach the ICC, leave the Copthorne Hotel from the rear exit, which leads you onto a paved walkway. Turn right, walk through Centenary Square, past the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and the ICC is immediately in front of you. The Crowne Plaza HotelTo reach the ICC, come out of the front of the hotel onto a private road and turn left. Walk along to the end and then up some steps onto the ICC just in front of you. Broad Street. Cross the road and bear left. You will see The Express by Holiday InnTo reach the ICC, leave the hotel and turn right. At the end of Lionel Street, cross over the road via the pelican crossing. You will now see a large multi-storey car park, and Cambridge Street runs along to your left. Walk up Cambridge Street, behind the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and the ICC will then be on your left. The Hyatt Regency HotelThe Hyatt has a direct link to the ICC from the bridge level. Press B in the lift for the bridge level. The Jurys Inn HotelTo reach the ICC, come out of the hotel’s front entrance and cross the road. Turn right and proceed straight on until you come to Centenary Square, where you will see the ICC. The Novotel (Birmingham Centre) HotelTo reach the ICC, turn left out of the hotel onto Broad Street and continue walking for approximately five minutes. The ICC will then be on your left. Birmingham (City Centre) Travel InnTo reach the ICC, leave the hotel through the front entrance onto Bridge Street. Turn left onto Broad Street, cross the road and the ICC will be directly in front of you. |
