Conference facilitiesThis page contains important practical information about facilities that are available at the conference. Click on the links below, or scroll down the page for more information on the following:
CaféA café, operated by the ICC, is situated on the ground floor. Delegates can purchase a card from the Business Centre to allow access to the wireless internet point, situated inside the café. Back to topConference dinnerThe conference dinner takes place at the ICC on Monday 13 October, beginning with a drinks reception from 19.30. Dress code for the evening is smart or smart-casual and a cash bar will be available. This is a free seating event Back to topConference newsletterWe will be publishing three editions of a conference newsletter, which will be available at the ICC, and on this website. Back to topContacting other delegatesThere will be a designated meeting point in the registration area, along with a poster listing the name and organisation of all conference delegates. There will also be a message board situated in this area, where delegates can write messages for other delegates. Back to topDisabled accessAll halls at the ICC are fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 2005, enabling all delegates to have full access to each session at the conference. Maps indicating lift and toilet facilities for disabled visitors are available in advance by telephoning Benedict Business Resources on 01483 205 432, or from the conference Enquiries desk in the registration area. Back to topFringe eventsFringe events are taking place on Monday 13 October. The events are being held at 18.00, following the close of main conference sessions and before the evening drinks reception. To find out more, visit our fringe events page. Back to topInduction loopsIf you require an induction loop necklace, please collect it from the Enquiries desk in the registration area. To activate the induction loop, please ensure your hearing aid is switched to ‘T’. Back to topLeft luggageThe cloakroom is situated on the ground floor, before you go up the escalators to reach the conference registration area. Any items are left at the owner’s risk. Back to topMedical assistanceA medical centre is situated on the ground floor of the ICC, behind the coffee terrace (Café Vite), just off the main mall. It has a nurse on hand 24 hours a day. If you are in need of medical assistance at any time, including during the Conference dinner, please contact a member of ICC staff, who will be able to help you. Back to topNetworking area and Standards Board information deskA designated networking area will be situated in the registration area. It will be open to all delegates from 13.15 on Monday 13 October, and then during conference hours, for the remainder of the conference. This area will have comfortable seating, posters listing all conference delegates, a message board and a dedicated meeting point. A separate information desk in this area will be staffed by representatives from the Standards Board for England, to respond to questions and listen to any feedback. This desk will be open at the start and close of each day of the conference and primarily during comfort and lunch breaks. Back to topPrayer areaA prayer area has been designated by the ICC. Please ask at the Enquiries desk for further information. Back to topQuestionsDelegates can visit the Standards Board information desk, in the registration area, to pose questions to representatives from the Standards Board for England throughout the conference. Delegates will also find a question sheet in their conference delegate pack. This sheet can be used to submit questions to the Standards Board for England, which will be responded to post-conference. Question sheets can be dropped into one of the many question postboxes situated around the conference centre. Back to topRecyclingRecycling bins will be situated around the conference centre. Delegates are kindly asked to make use of these to dispose of any unwanted papers. Delegate bags are provided as part of the conference registration fee and delegates are welcome to keep them. Unwanted conference bags can be handed in at a designated recycling point in the registration area. Returned bags will be used for future events.
