Information for delegates

On this section of the website you can find information and advice to help you make the most of the conference.

You can find out how to get to the conference venue, the ICC, and learn about what accommodation is available in Birmingham.

There’s information on how to register your attendance on the day, and a conference facilities page with all the practical information you may need, such as where to find the cloakroom and how to get medical assistance.

Networking opportunities

On the conference facilities page, you can also find out about the many networking opportunities at the conference, including information on our conference dinner on Monday 16 October, following fringe events run by other key organisations in the local government family. There’s a networking area for delegates to mingle, and a special session – Getting up to speed – for delegates new to the conference or Code.

To ensure that you are kept up to date with any news and developments, we publish a conference newsletter for all delegates, which is available at the ICC and on this website.

CPD accreditation

Those delegates attending the conference who are solicitors and barristers can earn credits towards their continuing professional development (CPD). To find out more click here.

Special requirements

If you have any special requirements, we ask that you let us know prior to the conference. Information on disabled access and induction loop necklaces for those who are hard of hearing is available on the conference facilities page.
