Annual Assembly of Standards Committees

The Annual Assembly of Standards Committees is the leading conference on all issues concerned with the local government Code of Conduct and improving ethical standards.

The conference, which is held over two days at the ICC in Birmingham, has been running for six years, and the 800 delegate places sell out well in advance. Delegate feedback on the event has been consistently positive.

Programme

Delegates attend a mix of plenary, breakout and facilitated sessions, and there are many networking opportunities, including fringe events, a conference dinner and a dedicated networking area. To find out more about what was on at the Seventh Annual Assembly, visit our programme page.

CDP accreditation

The Annual Assembly is certified to count towards both the Law Society and the General Council of the Bar’s continuing professional development (CPD) scheme. To find out more, visit our CPD accreditation page.

Steering committee

To ensure that the conference continues to cover the topics and areas that are relevant, delegates have the opportunity to be part of the Annual Assembly steering committee, which provides advice and guidance over the course of the year. To find out more, visit our steering committee page.
